Come reach out and help your state, Cavaliers.
Student Council would like to reach out to all clubs and organizations to promote “Farmers for a Cause.” The Midlands and the Coast are in great need of fresh water. Boiling Springs High School and Dorman High School are partnering to help flood victims by providing water.
Please encourage your members to participate by bringing a case of water to school by Friday morning, 8:30 a.m. Bring cases to room B138. These will be collected by a disaster relief organization and transported southbound Friday afternoon.
Students can ask their service club advisers if they can earn service club points by donating water.
*As of Thursday, 409 cases and 66 gallons of water have been donated and loaded up to be sent to Columbia. More water is expected to be donated for tomorrow, Friday, and sent down in the afternoon.
** As the last bottles of water were loaded onto the trailer, a grand total of 930 cases of water were donated by students are Dorman. Along with that, 122 gallons of water and 22,320 were donated. The water was taken to Columbia for people in need because of recent flooding.
