Looking for something to eat in Spartanburg that you haven’t tried before? These two restaurants are local dives that you may have overlooked when picking your meal.
Venus Pie Pizzeria
Located in the downtown area of Spartanburg, Venus Pie is a small pizzeria that has been serving classic New York style pizza in a casual family-friendly environment since 1995.
The restaurant takes its pride in its pizza, and serves their house special cheese pizza in 16 and 18 inch pies, and giant slices. You can build your own pizza by adding your favorite toppings to their cheese pizza, or you can choose from six different combination pies.
If normal pizza doesn’t satisfy your cravings, Venus Pie also serves customizable calzones and salads.
The staff is always wonderful and the food is always phenomenal. A wonderful environment to enjoy pizza, and I would highly recommend to all.

The restaurant, modeled after a traditional Japanese sushi bar, has both sushi bar seating and table seating in a comfortable and relaxed setting.
Sushi and sashimi lovers are treated to a wide variety of raw and cooked fish sold a la carte and various house and traditional sushi rolls. The ingredients are always fresh and delicious. If you are new to sushi, the staff is always happy to help and recommend new dishes to you.
For those who aren’t sushi fans or aren’t satisfied with only sushi, a wide range of traditional appetizers are available, as well as hibachi dishes.
